A Travis Head century and devastating Josh Hazlewood spell have Australia closing in on a convincing victory over the West Indies in Adelaide.
Head's 119 helped steer Australia to a 95-run first-innings lead, and when Hazlewood blasted through the Windies' top order to leave them reeling at 4-19, the prospect of a two-day Test was real.
But Justin Greaves and Josh Da Silva dug in, just about surviving to stumps until Nathan Lyon removed the former with the final ball of the day, the West Indies 6-73 and still 22 runs away from making Australia bat again.
Debutant Shamar Joseph was the only West Indian bright spot of the day, taking 5-94 and bowling with great vigour throughout.
Joseph removed Cameron Green in the second over of the day, before cleaning up Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon later in the innings to reach the milestone.
Head played a lone hand as wickets fell steadily around him, battling a tricky pitch en route to an important century.
He fell to a good outfield catch by Kavem Hodge off Alzarri Joseph's bowling having steered Australia into a lead, before Lyon and Pat Cummins pushed that advantage further.
Hazlewood removed Tagenarine Chanderpaul with the first ball of his innings to kick things off, at one point boasting figures of 3-0.
At the close of play his figures stood at 4-18, with Green and Lyon taking the other two wickets thus far.
Look back at how the action unfolded in our live blog.
STUMPS: West Indies 6-73 (Da Silva 17)
Well, it's been a horror show for the West Indies.
Eight wickets falling in the evening session, 14 for the day.
The tourists are facing a massive task to even make Australia bat again - and you'd think any total they set Australia will be paltry.
Josh Hazlewood was unplayable early on with the new ball - batting got a touch easier as the ball got soft - but by then the damage was well and truly done.
We'll wrap things up here in terms of our coverage.
Thanks for joining us for the day's play - and come back for tomorrow's final day from 10:30am AEDT.
LBW! GREAVES GOES FOR 24!
Well that's remarkable!
Three legs! Just pitching in line, just striking in line and hitting leg stump.
That did not look close to being out live.
Shows what we know.
The West Indies are 6-73.
The Aussies might be asking whether they can have the extra half hour to finish this tonight - but the West Indian batters are already off.

Now he drives for a single to mid on.
Down the leg side, Greaves swings for it but Carey gathers nicely down on that blind side of the batter.

BIG APPEAL! Looked like it pitched outside leg to be honest, and could have been missing.
Australia reviews!
Marnus calls, from cover, "it looks like it pitched in line." Remarkable for him to have any idea to be honest, but why not.
That looks quite leg side...
22nd over - Hazlewood continues
Da Silva defends solidly to the first couple of deliveries.
EDGED! Short of Mitch Marsh at third slip! Just failed to carry as Marsh dived forward and across.
Da Silva clips to mid on for no run.
Hazlewood is driven beautifully through the covers for a few - Marnus sprints after it and slides to stop the boundary. They run three.
Three slips and a gully, Greaves defends.
We'll be back tomorrow
This might be a 2 day test. A shame after the first day play when the West Indies seemed to put up a good game. And also a shame for the future of tests.
- Margi
What time's stumps?
- Millie

Da Silva turns one to backward square leg but can't capitalise on a ball that's a touch wayward from Lyon, a bit too leg side.
It's been about 21 degrees today
Is it cold in Adelaide? Why the Aussie knitted vests? The Windies sure are feeling the heat.
- KB
Which is kinda cold.
LoadingQueenslanders will be freezing.
They're all going to be in for a shock when they come up here for the next Test if the current weather conditions continue. It's sticky as anything at the moment.
18th over - Green continues
Short ball, Da Silva pulls for a single - has to be sharp mind, as the ball is thrown to the non-strikers end. Nicely done.
Greaves defends.
Neat push to point by Greaves - there is no run.
Greaves clips off his pads to mid on for no run - he's getting bat on ball at least, is Greaves.
Greaves gets a bit caught up with himself, edging into his thigh.

Da Silva plays a defensive push, tells Greaves to wait on a couple of times and they stay where they are.
Now he gets a single down to deep backward square leg.
Bouncer from Cummins, Greaves ducks under it sharpish. A no ball from Cummins. He doesn't bowl many, that's his first of the summer.
Solid defence from Greaves.
Two slips and a gully, Greaves drives to cover, Marnus can't completely stop the ball and they run a single. Bit of a misfield there by Marnus.
Bouncer again from Cummins, Da Silva hooks but bottom edges through to Carey. Bit untidy that.
Da Silva pulls that one very nicely for a single to square leg.
Dean and I have been saying the same thing...
Simon, remind me please. This is day two, isn't it ?
- Old timer
16th over - Cameron Green continues
Greaves fends the ball through point for a single. Matthew Renshaw is the sub fielder at gully and he's done well to deny them another - da Silva having to scramble back into his ground.
Solid defence from Da Silva this time.
Green attempts a yorker and Da Silva blocks it out.
Da Silva is being tested with this hook shots - he was out hooking in the first innings - and that one did stay up a bit but falls safely, and gets a single.

14th over - Cameron Green comes into the attack
Good leave first up from McKenzie.

Driven nicely by McKenzie back down the ground, it was in the air for a minute as the ball passed Cummins in his follow through, but was not really catchable. Marnus cuts off the ball before it hits the rope. They run three.
Greaves takes a single, pushing past gully.
Solid defence from McKenzie.
McKenzie pulls a short ball, doesn't make as solid a connection as he would have wanted but gets three to midwicket.
Bit of a wild one to finish from Cummins, looking for an inswinger and bowling down the leg side.
Time for a drink.
Yank him
This is Hazlewood's worst over yet!
