PINK
Allianz Stadium, February 9
Also February 10
★★★★

This was a concert scattered with unanticipated moments: pauses as Pink looked out for fans in trouble in the mosh pit, impromptu interactions with the audience and even a few occasions on which the star herself faltered, including during a rendition of Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love, which was cut short.

But she also endearingly navigated each hiccup, turning the occasional chaotic moment into a positive.

It has been nearly four months since Pink last performed, so she was probably getting back into the swing of things, both figuratively and literally (she soared over the stage and the crowd, suspended by bungee cords).

From giant walking lips that blew confetti into the crowd, to acrobats on trampolines and a dress dropped onto the star in a striking costume change, the carnival was a fun cocktail offering something for fans of every age.

Pink belted all her top hits, ranging from some of the earliest singles including Just Like a Pill (2001), decade-old goodies such as Just Give Me a Reason (2012) and new releases including Trustfall (2023).

Her raspy pop voice invoked nostalgia, but her energy and confidence were refreshing, cutting through the rain that failed to dampen the show.

Early on, her vocals were too far back in the mix but she had ample time to shine later in songs such as Try (2012) – as well as room for her daughter Willow Sage Heart to join her in a rendition of Cover Me in Sunshine (2021) much to the delight of fans.
