It's hard to find a good bed for under $500. There are not that many options, and the quality can drop drastically. However, the Dreamfoam Doze is the best cheap mattress out there. It's a very straightforward foam bed with a neutral feel. It might not be fancy, but it's comfortable, and you can choose from height options.
