The 2024 Summer Olympics are underway in Paris, France.

Australians will be competing in hockey, swimming, golf, rowing and more on day six of the Games

Because of the time difference, it'll be Wednesday night in Australia when many of those events kick off.

Here's what's on the schedule for day six of the Paris Olympics.

What are some of the key events Australians are competing in on day 6?

All times have been converted to AEST. 

Golf

  • 5pm: Men’s individual stroke play, opening round: Jason Day, Min Woo Lee

3x3 Basketball

  • 5pm: Women's pool round: China v Australia
  • 9pm: Women's pool round: USA v Australia 

Basketball

  • 9.30pm: Women's group phase: Australia v Canada 

Beach Volleyball

  • 5pm: Men's preliminary phase, pool C: Germany v Australia
  • 6pm: Men's preliminary phase, pool A: Qatar v Australia 
  • 12am: Women's preliminary phase, pool B: Australia v Canada

Rowing

  • 5.30pm: Women's single sculls semi-finals: Tara Rigney
  • 6.10pm: Women's eight repechage: Australia 
  • 6.20pm: Men's eight repechage: Australia
  • 7.18pm: Women's double sculls finals: Australia 
  • 7.50pm: Women's four finals: Australia
  • 8.10pm: Men's four finals: Australia

Hockey

  • 6.30pm: Men's pool B: New Zealand v Australia 
  • 4.15am: Women's pool B: Argentina v Australia 

Swimming

  • 7pm: Women's 200m backstroke heats: Jaclyn Barclay, Kaylee McKeown (final at 5.11am)
  • 7.18pm: Men's 50m freestyle heats: Ben Armbruster, Cameron McEvoy (semi-final at 4.46am) 
  • 7.47pm: Men's 200m individual medley heats: William Campbell Petric, Thomas Neil (semi-final at 5.47am) 
  • 8.05pm: Women's 4x200m freestyle relay heats: Australia (final at 6.03am)
  • 4.30am: Women's 200m butterfly final: Abbey Lee Connor, Liz Dekkers

4am: BMX, racing men's and women's quarters and last-chance runs

The Olympics will be broadcast free-to-air on Channel Nine and 9Gem.

The station's streaming service 9Now will also offer more than 40 live sports channels.
