At the North Paris Arena, the boxing tourmament continues.

In the women's 66kg (welterweight) class, Australia's Pacific Games champion Marissa Williamson took on Hungarian Anna Hamori.

Williamson had a solid opening round but her coach was warning her to have patience rather than rushing her punches. The Hungarian took the opening round 10-9.

The Australian was doing better in the second, but Hamori put together a combination of a left and right to the head.

Williamson went down, although replays suggested it might have been a slip. The Australian kept coming forward, and landed some shots, but was well down after two rounds.

The Hungarian proved too strong in the final round, using her agility, defence and punching ability to avoid giving up the lead.

Williamson landed one nice right, but couldn't make it count.

Hamori defeated Williamson on a unanimous points decision 5-0.
