The 2024 Summer Olympics are underway in Paris, France.

Australians will be competing in events including swimming, athletics, hockey and basketball on day seven of the Games. 

Because of the time difference, it'll be night time on Friday in Australia when many of those events kick off.

Here's what's on the schedule for day seven of the Paris Olympics.

What are some of the key events Australians are competing in on day seven?

All times have been converted to AEST.

Athletics

  • 6:05pm: Decathlon starts with 100m — Daniel Golubovic, Ash Moloney

Swimming

  • 7pm: Men's 100m butterfly heats — Matthew Temple, Ben Armbruster 
  • 7.17pm: Women's 200m individual medley heats — Ella Ramsay, Kaylee McKeown
  • 7.40pm: Women's 800m freestyle heats — Lani Pallister, Ariarne Titmus
  • 8.03pm: Mixed 4x100m medley relay heats — Australia 
  • 4.30am: Men's 50m freestyle final — Cameron McEvoy
  • 4.36am: Women's 200m backstroke final — Kaylee McKeown
  • 4.43am: Men's 200m individual medley final
  • 5am: Men's 100m butterfly semifinal 
  • 5.22am: Women's 200m individual medley semifinal

Rowing

  • 7:42pm: Women's pairs — Jess Morrison, Annabelle McIntyre

Hockey

  • 9.15pm: Men's pool match: Australia v India

3x3 Basketball

  • 5.30pm: Women's pool round: Australia v Azerbaijan
  • 8.30pm: Women's pool round: Australia v Spain

Basketball

  • 9.30pm: Men's group phase: Australia v Greece

Water polo

  • 10pm: Women's preliminary round match: Australia v Canada

Sailing

Where can I watch/listen to the Olympics in Australia?

The Olympics will be broadcast free-to-air on Channel Nine and 9Gem.

The station's streaming service 9Now will also offer more than 40 live sports channels.

Nine's paid streaming platform Stan is also showing Olympic coverage.
