Opening ceremony flag-bearer Madison de Rozario won Australia's final medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, claiming silver in the marathon.

Australia finished ninth in the medal tally in Paris, with 18 gold, 17 silver and 28 bronze.

Elsewhere on the final day of competition, para canoeist Curtis McGrath has finished outside of the medals by a small margin in the men's va'a single 200m VL3 final.

McGrath, the defending champion, placed fourth, finishing only 0.06 of a second behind New Zealand's bronze medallist Peter Cowan.

Ukraine's Vladyslav Yepifanov won gold and Great Britain's Jack Eyers took the silver.

In other events, Australian para canoeist Susan Seipel was fifth in the women's kayak single 200m KL2 final.

Australia's Hani Watson placed sixth in the women's over 86kg final in the para powerlifting program.

The competition is over and all medals have been handed out.

Australia has finished ninth on the medal table, with 18 gold, 17 silver and 28 bronze.

China was by far the most successful nation, with 94 gold, 76 silver and 50 bronze.

Here is where Australia's medals came from:

  • Para cycling — Gold: 4, Silver: 4, Bronze 3

Iran's Ahmad Aminzadeh is the Paralympic champion in Paris.

He finishes with a successful life of 263kg.

He was a cut above the rest in this competition and is a deserved champion.

Anton Kriukov from Ukraine wins silver, lifting 251kg with his last attempt.

Moments earlier, bronze medallist Akaki Jintcharadze from Georgia momentarily put himself into second with a lift of 250kg.

Iran's Ahmad Aminzadeh has all but won gold.

With his second attempt, he successfully lifted 258kg.

No other competitor has nominated a heavier weight for their final attempt.

The Paris crowd love the Iranian, who asks them to make as much noise as possible after his lift.

On the 11th and final day of competition, the Paris Paralympics has just one event left.

The men's 107kg para powerlifting.

We are in the early stages of the competition and the medal favourites have not come to the bench yet.

Look out for Ahmad Aminzadeh from Iran.

He has nominated 253kg for his opening lift — 11kg more than anyone else.

Wheelchair basketball: Netherlands beats US to claim back-to-back gold

The Netherlands has successfully defended its Paralympic crown in women's wheelchair basketball, defeating the US 63-49 in the final.

The US led at quarter-time, but the Dutch found their rhythm to get on top of their opponents and claim back-to-back gold.

Bo Kramer (23 points) and Mariska Beijer (22 points) starred for the victors, while Rose Hollerman did her best for the US with a 17-point haul.

Para powerlifting: Oluwafemiayo wins another gold

Nigeria's Folashade Oluwafemiayo is the clear winner in the women's over 86kg final, she had three clear lifts including a best and final of 166kg.

She won gold in Tokyo in the lower weight division, and shown she's just as good in this one too.
