The upcoming Netflix animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has a new trailer where you get to see the famous adventuring archeologist back in action. Tomb Raider will be coming to Netflix on Oct. 10, and picks up after the conclusion of the video game trilogy Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The lengthy trailer, unveiled last week during the Netflix Geeked Week event, shows Lara Croft doing classic Lara Croft things -- hopping across molten lava, popping a locked door open with her knife, contemplating a temple ruin, scaling a rope bridge, wielding guns and bows, facing off against monsters and wild animals, racing cars and motorbikes, and, of course, discovering a whole lot of treasure. It looks like the show will also feature flashbacks from her childhood.
"History doesn't always tell us the whole truth, because the real truth is too difficult for most of us to bear," she says in the trailer.
Lara Croft is voiced by Hayley Atwell (who most famously played Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe), and Richard Armitage (of many things, most recently Netflix's Fool Me Once) is also on the voice cast.
