Dangers: Keep safe 7. The Cuban who is looking for more ground third-up, drew the fence, and can run the quinella. 8. Positivo also looks well placed third-up, although has to tuck in from a tricky draw. Gap to the rest headed by 3. Eire To The Jungle, improving sharply second-up with winkers added.
How to play it: Pearl Trout to win

Race 4: BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1300m)

Improving mare 5. Trifecta Ruby is well-placed to break a run of three straight placings this prep, and claim a third career win at 15th start. Did her best work late here when resuming before letting down strongly at Wagga in similar company, then again running home hard into a place in a deeper CL2. That form reads ideally for this over 100m further, and drawn to get the right trail off the fence.

Dangers: 1. Gobbo’s Mate has found a new lease of life after a freshen-up, winning his last two in similar company, including this track 19 days ago when he stalked the speed and went home best. Bit more depth this time, and rises in weight, but only missed a place once in six runs here. Progressive 4. Our Frankie swept home from midfield to comfortably win a CL2 at Wagga second-up, but up in weight. Watch for any money around 2. Keith resuming off a quiet trial; while 6. Gijima Gal responded to a change of tactics second-up when ridden cold near the back unleashing a big finish to miss by under a length at big odds.

Race 5: CLASS 1 HCP (1400m)

Progressive Albury five-year-old 2. Valspar is the clear one to beat, and claim back-to-back wins. Twice let punters down with consecutive close second placings as a hot favorite before starting the repayments with a strong closing win in heavy ground. Again drawn to get a cosy run, and well capable of going on to win better races than this.

Dangers: Victorian 3. Strummer was very good on debut at Albury when slicing through the field from well back for a dominant win. A little query, though, stepping up sharply in trip from a wide draw. 1. I’m Airborne improves sharply second-up; while 5. Meatloaf from a softer draw adds value into trifecta and first four plays.
How to play it: Valspar to win

Race 6: CLASS 3 HCP (1000m)

Improving mare 8. Rosie’s Prophecy can make it two wins from three this prep with a key gear addition. Swept home for a dominant and fresh maiden win at this track before again hitting the line late at Albury in BM 58 grade. This is a little tougher, but she’s on the rise, and drawn to get lovely cover just off the speed carrying 2kg less.

Dangers: 1. Brenlyn’s Daisy impressed when running home hard to claim a BM 58 over the border second-up, but this is tougher. Watch for improving mare 2. Ledecky’s Dream to run home late after not getting a lot of room when resuming at Albury. Lightly raced 6. Time Angel stays at the distance second-up; while 5. Pretty Penguin is hard fit and drawn inside.
How to play it: Rosie’s Prophecy to win
