The final round of the Supercars season pits teammates against each other in a title showdown.

Will Brown and Broc Feeney from Triple Eight Race Engineering head into the Adelaide 500 weekend as the final two drivers left to claim this year's title.

Brown leads Feeney by 180 points, with a maximum of 300 available this weekend.

Both drivers are hunting their maiden championship win.

Feeney has more wins than any other driver in the 2024 season, but Brown has built his championship lead on the back of a remarkably consistent season.

“It’s Will’s to lose,” Feeney told the Supercars' Drivers Only podcast last week.

“It’s not really mine to win at the moment.

“I’m a very long shot, but I’m one where it’s not over until it’s over."

Brown has managed at least one podium from every race weekend this season.

There are two races at this weekend's Adelaide 500, with the winner of each receiving 150 points.

To win the title, Feeney must beat Brown in both races this weekend.

To still have a chance of winning the championship heading into the final race on Sunday, Feeney must outscore Brown by 30 points on Saturday. A podium finish for Brown on Saturday will seal the championship, no matter where Feeney finishes.

If Feeney was to win both races this weekend, then Brown would need to accumulate 121 championship points to secure the title. Finishing 14th in both races would give him 126 points.

Brown is also aiming to achieve a 40-year first in Adelaide.

If he secures a podium finish in either race, he will be the first driver since Dick Johnson in 1984 to have at least one podium in every round of the championship.

Only five drivers have achieved a 100 per cent record in the 57 years the Australia's premier touring car championships.

The cars will be on track on Thursday afternoon for the first practice session of the weekend.
