"North Stradbroke Island is one of the best spots along Queensland's coast to do some land-based whale watching. From the viewing platforms along the North Gorge Walk at Point Lookout you can spot humpback whales frolicking past the headland from June to November. The longer you linger the more you will see. Manta rays, turtles and dolphins can also be spotted along this beautiful stretch of Straddie.
