Equality activist Rodney Croome AM, Australian of the Year 2015 for Tasmania, shares the story behind a badge he wore when arrested in the 1980s for campaigning for homosexuality to be decriminalised. Rodney has championed gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex rights throughout Australia for more than two decades. His badge, on show at the National Museum of Australia, is a symbol of standing up for something you believe in and the desire to belong.
