Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on November 8th leaving a trail of destruction across a sway of the country. The UN estimates that 11.8 million people were affected by the disaster, including more than 920,000 made homeless. The government says more than 3,600 deaths had been reported as of Thursday, but the actual number was likely to be higher.
Survivors share their stories, including Walter Alvarez who found his wife, daughter and mother-in-law's bodies after the flooding eased.
