Department of Immigration and Citizenship officers volunteer several hours every Saturday to help run and maintain the Christmas Island Airport Kiosk with island residents.
The Airport Kiosk is managed by CI Charities, a non-profit organisation that provides funds to Australia-wide foundations including the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital in Perth. It also assists Christmas Island community groups such as the Seniors' Association.
