This program examines the differences which affect physical performance in sport. Two key areas are covered, gender difference and trained versus untrained individuals. A number of indicators and factors surrounding gender differences are examined, including anatomy and muscle development, especially during puberty and adolescence; oxygen and blood flow, VO2 maximum, heart rate, cardiac output and stroke volume.
