The Crows led by 30 points during the latter stages of the second term, but were stunned by the Bombers, who pulled off a big comeback to run out 21-points at the Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
And Roos explained the very reason why Essendon were able to walk through the Adelaide players and hit the scoreboard with ease.

“They dominated clearances and they got the ball in their front half. But they couldn’t keep it in there. (They had) 79 points from the back half for Essendon, which is unheard of. That’s incredible,” Roos said on Fox Footy.
“The last five or six weeks they (Essendon) have been terrific and much better scoring from the forward half, getting it from clearances or winning it around the contest and getting it forward.
“Typically if you are going to play at the other end of the ground it is hard to win.
“79 out of the 96 (points) have been scored when they pick the ball up from the back-half and have just gone straight up the other end of the ground.
“That’s an appalling stat for the Crows.”
In the Friday night clash, Adelaide had four more scoring shots (25-21) and led the inside 50s (52-50), but were beaten in the contested ball and tackling by the hungry Bombers outfit.
It is the second bad second-half drop off for the Crows in the last month, with another big score conceded from the back-half of the ground.
In the Showdown, Port Adelaide scored 7.0 (42) to Adelaide’s 1.4 (10) from the back-half, with the statistic similar in the clash against the Bombers, which resulted in Essendon scoring 13.1 (79) to 2.5 (17).
“That’s concerning because they’ve put Milera and Smith into the second square, purely for that reason (to stop it),” Brisbane Lions great Jonathan Brown explained.
