As a subscriber of The Sydney Morning Herald you have the opportunity to redeem 1 of 10 free double passes to see the return season of There’s a Sea in my Bedroom at ACO On The Pier.
Based on the beloved children’s book by award-winning author Margaret Wild, There’s a Sea in My Bedroom is adapted for the stage by acclaimed director Tim McGarry with original music by Paul Stanhope.
David is frightened of the sea. He does not like it at all, not one bit. But one day he finds a conch shell at the beach and takes it home – and he hears the sea trapped inside. “Come out, sea, come out,” he says softly. “I won’t hurt you.”
This magical performance on Sydney’s picturesque harbour is the perfect introduction to the world of classical music for audiences both young and young at heart, bringing moments of joy and laughter for the whole family during the spring school holidays.
