Two men will face a Queensland court, accused of torturing and assaulting a man who was left tied to a tree in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was held against his will, tortured and assaulted by a group of men on Tuesday night but managed to free himself and flag a passing motorist at Tamborine early on Wednesday morning.

A 24-year-old Yarrabilba man and a 29-year-old Logan Village man are expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on charges including deprivation of liberty and torture.
