Domino's Pizza has announced delays to its nationwide review into wage fraud allegations.

The pizza giant told the Australian Stock Exchange this morning that its investigation into wage-fraud allegations, first exposed by Fairfax Media, was taking longer than expected and it now expected the results to be announced as late as December - six months later than anticipated.

In March, Domino's announced it would conduct checks on its 740 franchised stores in Australia, following allegations of rampant wage fraud across its network. Alongside the review, Domino's appointed business advisory firm Deloitte to examine its compliance processes.

At the time the company said it expected the review to be completed by June.

Domino's franchisees were exposed selling visas and underpaying staff as part of a Fairfax Media investigation into the fast food chain. Fairfax found hundreds of staff across four states had been underpaid, with store owners blaming the franchisee model.

Following the investigation Domino's admitted it had completed 102 payroll audits, with another 42 still going.

Mr Meij said over three years four franchisees had been terminated from the system while a further 22 left after adverse business audits.

He later said at least 2400 workers had been underpaid over three years.

The company has watched its share price slide this year around 10 per cent this year to around $58. More recently, analysts have downgraded the stocks fearing reduced earning results and concerns about franchisee profitability.

Deutsche Bank cut its recommendation to sell and said the company had increasingly been taking taking profits away from franchisees leaving store owners "inferior profits, margins and returns". JP Morgan cuts its recommendation to hold, citing low growth in Australian sales.
