Tony McEvoy fears skyrocketing stallion and yearling prices could condemn the Australian racing industry to just a few major players as his flying filly Sunlight prepares to crash the party in the Coolmore Stud Stakes.
McEvoy's Magic Millions heroine will be the only girl to take on the nine colts in the $1 million race, which could see a three-year-old's value balloon to in excess of $20 million for a little more than a minute's work at Flemington on Saturday.

It's symbolic of the Australian industry in which the winner of the Coolmore Stakes will be much celebrated and have their stud career set in concrete, merely not a distraction but the main attraction to many on Victoria Derby day.
Recent Coolmore winners Merchant Navy, Flying Artie, Brazen Beau and Zoustar, whose progeny Zousain has been installed as joint favourite for this year's Coolmore, have reportedly been sold for eight figures after their career-defining wins.
