Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp Australia has hunkered down on its wagering, sports, travel and gaming focus with a reshuffle of key executives after buying horse racing site Racenet.
The news publisher will see several major changes among its leadership team after racing news site Punters.com.au (bought in 2016) was given the green light by the competition regulator to acquire Racenet late last year.

Chief operating officer Damian Eales has been put in charge of the print and digital publishing divisions, including The Australian, News Prestige titles (Vogue Australia, Vogue Living and GQ Australia) and NewsDNA, which includes digital brands like news.com.au.
National newspaper The Australian chief executive Nicholas Gray’s responsibilities will be expanded to include managing director of The Australian, New South Wales titles The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and NewsLocal, and News Prestige magazines.
