You can't play a much better Origin match than NSW have tonight. I thought the way they decided to play was brilliant and everything they attempted came off. The Maroons could have been held scoreless. They were very lucky to be awarded that penalty try.

The things that stuck out from the game plan for me was that NSW decided to feed early ball to the likes of Addo-Carr and gave Tom Trbojevic a roving commission. That was a nightmare for the Maroons. The Blues kicked brilliantly and with so much variation. Wighton kicked the first kick of the match, Maloney kicked beautifully, Wade Graham set up a try with a kick and Nathan Cleary's bombs caused all kind of trouble early in the game.

Even more impressive to me was the defence of the two centres. Jack Wighton and Tom Trbojevic were playing out of position but they were two of the best players on the field. They both held their position in-field, invited the Maroons to attack out wide and then slid out at the right time. That was a big key to a solid defensive performance and gives them a blueprint to take home to Sydney.
