Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy has won his second consecutive club best and fairest after another outstanding season that again earned him All-Australian honours.

The win comes amid contract discussions, with the 25-year-old wanting a seven-year deal while the Magpies are not prepared at this stage to go beyond five.

Grundy is regarded, alongside Melbourne's Max Gawn, as the game's best ruckman. He finished sixth in the Brownlow Medal, his 23 votes equal with the ineligible Dustin Martin of Richmond. He polled in 18 games in the Copeland Trophy.

Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury was runner-up for the fourth time, having won five best-and-fairest awards with the club. He was also named All-Australian while durable defender Jack Crisp finished third for the second time.
