Hawthorn have confirmed key forward Jonathon Patton will miss four weeks of football after scans showed he had strained his right hamstring.
Patton was injured early in the Hawks' loss to Collingwood at Giants Stadium on Friday night.
With the potential condensing of the AFL fixture, Patton could end up missing more than four matches.
