Police believe the victims in two 2017 killings related to the Comanchero bikie gang were innocent young men who were mistakenly targeted.
Investigators say the attacks resulted from “callous stupidity” and “utter incompetence” after a gunman went to the wrong house.

Homicide squad detectives believe 22-year-old Muhamed Yucel, fatally shot at Keysborough in May 2017, and 26-year-old Zabi Ezedyar, shot while visiting friends in Narre Warren two months later, were both mistakenly killed by associates of the outlaw motorcycle gang.
Mr Yucel, who was shot a number of times alongside two other men and died at the scene, was gunned down as a result of an “incompetent” bikie going to the wrong property, police believe.
Similarly, Mr Ezedyar, who was being greeted at the front door of a Kurrajong Road house when shots rang out about 7.45pm, was killed after the gunman attended and shot the wrong person.
Homicide squad boss Detective Inspector Tim Day said “callous stupidity” and “utter incompetence” was to blame for the deaths of both men.

“Muhamed Yucel and Zabi Ezedyar were two innocent young men who lost their lives due to the callous stupidity, cavalier attitude to violence, and utter incompetence of members of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang,” Detective Inspector Day said.
“Due to the actions by individuals in both incidents, we’ve been able to identify a number of people within the Comancheros who have had both direct and indirect involvement with the offending.
