“It’s not a bad one to pick. I think she is the best horse in a $2 million race,” Berry said. “All we need is a good gate and I think we are going to be the one to beat.”

Berry will be happy to see some rain this week for Entriviere. In recent weeks, he has won the Premiere Stakes on Masked Crusader, the Stan Fox Stakes on Hilal, which he is likely to ride in Saturday’s Bondi Stakes, before piloting Art Cadeau to victory in The Kosciuszko.

Berry was stunned by the crowd’s response to Art Cadeau when he went back up to the 200m mark after his victory on Saturday.

“I got up there and showed him off to them and just went off,” Berry said. “I know there was only 10,000 there, but that is as loud as I have heard when I have come back on a winner.

“The only thing I can compare it to is when Chautauqua won his third TJ Smith, but he was Chautauqua.”
