For example, Wilson Parking has launched an automated monthly subscription service in the Wilson Parking App, whereby customers can review and select fixed preferential pricing for their preferred car park and pay monthly. This makes it easier for customers to purchase a monthly subscription on the spot and at a time that is convenient for them.

Wuffli says the digital monthly subscription innovation was soft-launched over the recent holiday period in a selected number of car parks when many capital cities still had Omicron-related restrictions.

The result was that 40 per cent of new subscription purchases came through as digital subscriptions through the app.

Furthermore, 50 per cent of those purchases and quote requests were made outside of standard business hours – capturing an opportunity to improve customer experience.

To further enhance the parking experience, Wilson Parking will soon launch Digital Bundles that extend the benefits available to customers who regularly book online.

This product acts as a bulk number of parking sessions and will give customers the flexibility to use each of the parking transactions as they want and locking in the pricing that they want

Commuters can pre-purchase bookings for a car park and use them when they want, giving them flexibility to use their parking as they need to and benefit from greater savings.

“These products are quite a gear change for the parking industry. By creating more flexible models, we are allowing customers to still benefit from price discounts typically linked to fixed subscriptions – but without the lengthy lock-in contracts,” says Wuffli.

“By creating these products as part of the Wilson Parking App, customers can use a single account to manage all their parking needs within the palm of their hand. We think commuters to the CBD will embrace this.”
