A vehicle has ploughed into the Brisbane electorate office of federal Labor MP Terri Butler.
Ms Butler posted images on Twitter, showing the damage to her office in Greenslopes on Brisbane's southside.
"No-one was harmed. Thanks for your concern, everyone," she said.
"The police are on the scene. We don't know the condition or whereabouts of the driver."
Police said they do not believe it was deliberate.
They also said they did not think the incident was politically motivated.
Police said early indications suggested the driver lost control of the vehicle and careened into the glass shop-front around 1pm, before driving away from the scene.
It is understood there is CCTV footage of the crash, but police said they will not release it owing to the political sensitivity of the incident.
A search is underway for the driver who was last spotted heading along Old Cleveland Road.
