Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy is backing young gun winger Xavier Coates in to hold his place in Queensland's State of Origin side.
Coates, 21, has already played five games for the Maroons, but has some stiff competition this time around.
Broncos teenager Selwyn Cobbo is gunning for an Origin debut while Corey Oates, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Valentine Holmes, Dane Gagai, and Kyle Feldt can also do the job.
Bellamy, though, is confident rookie Maroons coach Billy Slater will pick the Storm flyer.
"He's done a great job for Queensland there, the games he has played," Bellamy said of Coates.
"I was talking to Billy the other day... they have a lot of good wingers available for Queensland. I don't know who they are going to pick, but I'd imagine Xavier would be first, if not first he would be second.
"We kicked a lot for him today, and we didn't have success all the time, but he always worries the other side. He competes hard.
"He can turn an ordinary kick into a good kick. I'm sure he will be in Origin."
