Wests Tigers have parted ways with coach Michael Maguire.

A board meeting was called following half a season of indifferent results for the joint venture club. Chairman Lee Hagipantelis was seen arriving at the club’s headquarters at Concord on Tuesday afternoon.

Maguire was told his future was no longer at the club. Brett Kimmorley will take over as caretaker coach.

Maguire ran training on Tuesday morning, then addressed the playing group after being informed of the club’s decision. He packed his belongings and left the club’s Concord HQ.

The Herald last month reported that Tigers powerbrokers had put a round-13 deadline on a decision on their coach.

The Tigers sit 13th on the ladder on eight points after just three wins this season.

The club determined that 10 points at the halfway mark was the number required to be a realistic chance of returning to the finals for the first time since 2011.

The news comes on the same day the Warriors announced the departure of coach Nathan Brown.
