London: A delegation of cabinet MPs will tell Boris Johnson that he should quit as prime minister following the mass resignation of more than 30 ministers.
More than 100 MPs have declared they no longer supported the prime minister.

Under Tory party rules, Johnson is protected for another 11 months from a new vote of confidence, after he won an unorganised vote last month.
A meeting of the backbench committee on Wednesday (UK time) declined to alter the rules to allow a new vote, despite speculation it would.
This means MPs will look to cabinet to exert pressure on the prime minister to resign, something Johnson said he would not do.

The cabinet delegation is said to include the one-day-old Chancellor of the Exchequer Nadhim Zahawi, who filled the position vacated by Rishi Sunak who quit the cabinet, along with Sajid Javid, 24 hours ago.
It also includes former Johnson loyalists Grant Shapps and Priti Patel.
The pair of cabinet resignations triggered the day of instability which saw ministers lining up to tweet their resignation letters.
