As for Waerea-Hargreaves, Collins said: “When he’s right, he will be right. I’m not too sure [if it is his final year]. He’s moving around so well - this is the best he’s looked in a long time.
“We don’t know which way he will go. He’s focused on this year, just ripping in to doing the most he can to get the best out of himself.”

Collins and Matt Lodge will start up front against the Dolphins, with Fletcher Baker and Terrell May on the bench.

“It was great to see him out there. He has a presence about him, he’s fun and energetic and it’s great to have someone like that around the club,” Collins said of Napa.
“It’s a big boost for us to have someone like him with his experience.
“He’s on a train and trial, he’s got time to get his body right, get ready, and when he is ready he’ll be back playing.”
Joey Manu, who suffered a fresh facial fracture during the Queenstown training camp - on the opposite side of his face from when he was banged up by Latrell Mitchell at the end of 2021 - is expected back for the club’s round-two clash against the Warriors. Luke Keary (jaw) and Joseph Suaali’i (concussion) will both play.
