As expected, forward Mitch Lewis is back in for Hawthorn, who confront the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Saturday. Tom Liberatore (concussion) is a big out for the in-form Bulldogs, but they bring back Smith.

Richmond explained that it was a prudent decision to rest Prestia for Sunday’s match against Gold Coast. The Suns are suddenly weakened with Touk Miller missing in action.

The club’s high-performance manager Luke Meehan said Prestia had reported soreness.

“Dion has been fantastic this year with his ability to present himself to play. However, given his history and the upcoming short turnarounds, we think the right decision is for him to miss Sunday’s game,” Meehan told the club’s website.

“Our indicators suggest that pushing him too far could result in us losing him for longer, so we are taking this necessary approach.”
