“As such, and due to the nature of these allegations, we have ceased all business with Flexy Ferg effective immediately.”

Ferguson, a former Cranbrook student who lives in the northern beaches, has played at several popular dance venues, such as the Ivy, Coogee Bay Hotel and Wharf Bar Manly Beach. He’s featured on line-ups at Australian music festivals, including Lost Paradise and Subsonic, as well as clubs and festivals in Mexico.

The Herald is not aware of any criminal charges laid against Ferguson and does not suggest there have been any.

This masthead has spoken to several women who alleged inappropriate behaviour towards them by Ferguson. They each asked to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the alleged conduct.

One woman said she and Ferguson were exchanging Instagram messages last year when he asked if she’d like to video call after posting videos of herself on the decks.

“He basically put out his d--- and showed it to me, and I was visibly in shock,” she said.

“I was just completely lost for words … I was completely silent, just like ‘What do I do?’ like ‘flight or fight’ type of thing.”

The woman said Ferguson began masturbating and seemed to be “getting off” on her discomfort.

Another woman said about four years ago, Ferguson started following her on Instagram and, after a few messages, started sending random videos and photos of himself masturbating.

“I wouldn’t reply. And then he kind of like continued the conversation as normal,” the woman said.

“And eventually, I just stopped opening them.”

Ferguson was contacted for comment but did not respond.

On February 17, Ferguson posted on his Instagram to say he was “deeply sorry for my inappropriate behaviour”.

“I’ve crossed a line and I take full responsibility for my actions. I open an invitation to anyone who has been directly impacted to contact me for the personal apology you so deserve,” he wrote.

The apology came the day after Ferguson was dropped from an event at The Abercrombie Hotel in Chippendale at the eleventh hour.

A spokesperson for the venue said multiple other DJs scheduled for the same night reported feeling uncomfortable playing alongside him. Once the venue removed Flexy Ferg from the line-up, the others agreed to play again.

One of those fellow DJs sparked a wave of allegations on social media from women – mainly of receiving unsolicited sexual videos and pictures – when she wrote in an Instagram story that she would not play at the same venue as Ferguson.

The DJ said would not associate herself or her brand “with anyone who has behaved inappropriately towards women”.

As well as being dropped by his booking agency, Ferguson’s stage name has disappeared from the bills of Canberra’s Digi Culture & Music Festival on March 23, and Queensland’s Rabbits Eat Lettuce (REL) starting on March 28.

Neither festival organisers responded to several requests for comment.

After posting his apology to Instagram, Ferguson deactivated his Instagram, Facebook and SoundCloud accounts.
