With the Eels on the lookout for strike power in the outside backs, and watching the Zac Lomax situation at St George Illawarra closely, Arthur might need only to look within his own system for a future mainstay.
“[Arthur] is sort of a father figure to all us boys,” Talagi said. “He has been watching me through my career. Obviously, the dream would be to play consistent first-grade footy. Whatever the team needs, I will slot in.
“I have a big support group. My family are massive to me and they showed up [on Sunday].”
Talagi, a Moorebank Rams junior, holds an option in his favour on his contract for next season, but is already attracting interest from rivals clamouring for one of the hottest prospects in the game.
He’s expected to return to NSW Cup, with the NRL side readying for the Easter Monday showdown against Wests Tigers.
