Want to know more about the daily life of Sydney FC’s new marquee recruit Douglas Costa? You’re in luck: the former Brazilian international has announced the launch of his OnlyFans page.
Costa, who was on Monday unveiled by the A-League Men club, has joined an increasing stream of professional athletes who have begun sharing behind-the-scenes content on the subscription-based service.

Although most closely associated with adult entertainment, OnlyFans appears to be attempting to pivot to become a more mainstream platform to rival YouTube and TikTok, broadening its base of creators to other industries and help creators engage closer with their fans.
Dozens of athletes have signed up in recent times, including Australian athletes like basketballer Liz Cambage, former Olympic springboard diver Matthew Mitcham and Nick Kyrgios, who described his decision to join OnlyFans as a “no-brainer” late last year.
In most cases, athletes on OnlyFans do not share X-rated content, and there is no suggestion Costa plans to – although some do, and for those who struggle to attract sponsorships and participate in sports which do not generate high wages, the income from an OnlyFans page can help them make ends meet.
But Costa, the former Bayern Munich and Juventus star who represented Brazil on 31 occasions, wouldn’t seem to have that problem.
“I decided to join OnlyFans because I believe in the company’s credibility and potential for global reach,” Costa said through a press release sent to this masthead by a Metro, a public relations firm based in Los Angeles, where he previously played for the LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
“Together, this partnership has everything to be very interesting and successful. The segment in which OnlyFans seeks to have athletes as brand ambassadors greatly impacts the market, and I am more than happy to be part of it, especially as one of the pioneers in the soccer segment.
“As an OnlyFans creator, I will create exclusive content for my fans that they won’t be able to see on any other social media, and it will make a great difference.
