Following the success of the first ever Ministry Of Sound compilation made for New Zealand by New Zealand (SessioNZ, which hit #1 on the NZ iTunes Album Chart and completely sold out its national tour), SessioNZ 2013 is about to conquer your eardrums all over again with its release on March 8.
MOS compilations have been the soundtrack to countless great nights, and now the best NZ DJs have crafted this 2CD album specifically for New Zealanders to create their own uniquely Kiwi memories.
Disc One is mixed by General Lee, host of the popular Ministry Of Sound Radio Sessions on ZM, and world-renowned DJ in his own right. Featuring d-floor filling tracks from the likes of Madeon, Timmy Trumpet, Otto Knows, and Florence + The Machine, General Lee has mixed in local bangers and epic remixes from Shapeshifter, Ruby Frost, Jupiter Project and more.
Disc Two takes things to a whole other level, thanks to the otherworldly mixing of Daniel Farley and Sam Hill. Disclosure feeds into Netsky, A-Trak and Major Lazer pump alongside Jetski Safari and Optimus Gryme, Yolanda Be Cool rocks out with Flosstradamus and The Bloody Beetroots, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Farley is amping about his half of the album, "The second disc of SessioNZ really steps it up a level this year, Sam and I enjoyed mixing local bass acts like Optimus Gryme with internationally hyped productions from the likes of Baauer, Major Lazer , Rudimental and Netsky... and on the housey tip we have the likes of Disclosure and locally Tim Richards, Antix, Aural Trash, and ourselves... The CD flows from 128 bpm down to 80 then all the way back up to finish on 160, we feel it's interesting and upfront from start to finish!"
