At 11:11:11 on the 11/11/11 I took part in the Remembrance Day celebrations at Martin Place (Sydney). It also happens to be the very moment that I captured this special memory. My video is neither flashy nor a super slick production, but it is a moment in time on a milestone date, which will never occur again. The sun was shining, diggers proudly wore their medals, the rest of us all proudly wearing our red poppy flowers pinned over our hearts. The crowd was packed with people of all ages and backgrounds. Together we stood united to remember those who fought for our great nation. As the bagpipes began to play, silence fell, reefs of flowers were placed on the Cenotaph and at that very moment I looked around me. I was overcome by that feeling of Aussie mateship, a feeling of security, a feeling of being so proud to live in the best country in the world. The thousands of people around me all came on their own free will, to show respect and honour. I will never forget this moment.
