Australian swimmers at the IPC World Championships have won a further three gold medals and broken a world record in Montreal on day two of competition.
Southern Cross swimmer Blake Cochrane dominated the men's 100m breaststroke SB7 final breaking the world record in 1:17.83, taking 0.84 of a second off the world record he set at the 2012 London Paralympics. After winning the men's 100m freestyle S9 final last night Matthew Cowdrey got off to a great start in the men's 50m freestyle S9 final. With a fast start under his belt Cowdrey continued to show excellent form as he powered through to the finish in 25.16 claiming the gold medal.
