Harmony Day 2011 was officially launched at the City of Sydney Fire Station when Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Chris Bowen and Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Senator Kate Lundy joined forces with children, emergency services staff and the wider community, all in harmony!
Commissioner Greg Mullins (Fire and Rescue NSW ) told the gathered crowd that fire fighters across Australia, as supporters of Harmony Day, were honoured to be a part of the national celebrations.
Students from the NSW Adult Migrant English Service (AMES) also attended the launch and in this clip we hear what Harmony Day means to them.
