The Outlander PHEV system offers innovative and exciting technology featuring a regenerative braking system that can quickly adapt to match driving conditions, allowing the driver to control the level of regenerative braking as required.
It also features a unique joystick type selector lever performing three functions; D for Drive mode, R for Reverse and B for regenerative brake modes.
There are 6 preset regenerative braking modes B zero to B5. The default regenerative braking position is B2. B5 delivers the strongest level of regenerative brake force with B zero the weakest. The joystick control allows you to select two of the six preset regenerative braking modes these are B3 and B5 whereas the paddle shifters allow selection of all six, it's also worth noting B0 mode offers minimal regenerative braking force.
