Port Adelaide midfielder Travis Boak has won the John Cahill Medal for the club's best and fairest player for a second time.

Boak, 31, beat out defender Darcy Byrne-Jones in second by 11 votes, while third place in the count went to fellow defender Dan Houston, one vote behind Byrne-Jones.

The former captain also won in 2011 making him the fourth person to win multiple John Cahill Medals.

He picked up three awards at the event on Friday night, also winning the Fos Williams Medal for best team man and the John McCarthy award for community service, for his work with the Childhood Cancer Associations.
